What we offer?
The Education Clinic organizes and develops various educational programs and initiatives:
- For healthcare professionals: Webinars, workshops, and conferences that address the latest developments in personalized medicine.
- For students: Strengthening the themes of “rare diseases” and “personalized medicine” in the Bachelor and Master of Medicine programs at VU and UvA, other programs such as Biomedical Sciences and the master Personalized Medicine at VU . In addition, the center is expanding scientific internship opportunities.
- For interdisciplinary collaboration: Training opportunities for professionals in pediatrics, human genetics, and other disciplines, with a focus on self-directed learning and patient participation.
- For patients and their families: Annual conferences and diagnosis-specific days organized in collaboration with patient associations, where they play an active role in knowledge sharing and policy development.
The Emma CPM is a center of expertise at the Amsterdam UMC focusing on patients and families with a rare genetic disorder.
A collaboration between the Emma Children's Hospital, the Department of Human Genetics, the Laboratory of Genetic Metabolic Diseases, and various departments and laboratories.
